zaadz a few months on...

I believe I joined here in February sometime. I was one of the wave of refugees from Tribe.net. I didn't pay much attention to Zaadz initially. It was cute, idealistic, positive, but buggy and there wasn't much in the way of pods fucntionality back then.
But, I decided to get back into it in June, and after discovering your account becomes disabled after 3 months, and having some pleasant exchanges with an admin, everything was fine. There were still some bugs with creating a pod, and lost text in messages, but otherwise it's kinda nice here, if a little slow and full of preachy salesmen and intellectuals divorced from real experience.
I've met some nice people here, and some of the pod discussions are interesting enough to hold my attention. Anything that can provide minutes of amusement periodically is OK in my book.
I guess the reason I even thought to pop some words down here is that I was looking through my goals, and I discovered I had nary a one about work/career. Which is funny seeing as how I'm unemployed. I guess I don't identify who I am with what I do, and recent events have only made it imperative that I segregate situation from being.
I suppose I should put a goal up there about that, as it is important, but I've never been terribly ambitious as far as work, or career climbing, I just want honest work that will engage me and make use of my talents, as opposed to some soul sucking drudgery. Sadly, it seems I am consigned to the soul sucking drudgery, at least here in Cleveland. Maybe that's why I don't have any goals related to that.
I know I shouldn't be so self defeating, but when you are someone who lives outside the box, you rapidly discover that people who are inside the box, while eager to laud those who think outside the box, typically don't recognize the real stuff when they see it.
At least this is my take on it.
